 The Customer Service/Estimator serves as the individual charged with accurate pricing of materials and signs. This position functions in concert with sales & marketing and production managers to provide accurate estimates per job specifications and finalize job specifications prior to production. This position prices all aspects of a project as requested by our customers/clients and in accordance with company processes. While Sign experience is preferred, we are willing to train the qualified candidates who have experience estimating in Sheet metal, construction, or custom fabrication. Digital Graphics/Vinyl Applicators

Position Type:Full Time
Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and interesting individual for our Digital Print Operator. This position would demand seasoned experience in large format printing, centered on the print production of various graphic elements for the sign industry. 5-8 years’ experience and knowledge of digital print production processes desired but will train the right candidate.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day operation of production and logistics for our large format printing
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales commitments and deliver manufactured products in a timely and cost effective fashion
  • Identify, recommend and manage approved system/process improvements
  • Ensure output meets color accuracy, print quality standards, and customer’s quality specifications
  • Manage the data collection process as it relates to job costing in the department
  • Ensure quality and performance are met or exceeded
  • Maintain proper maintenance and calibration of printing & finishing equipment
  • Print media stocking/inventory control (substrates, vinyl, ink, print heads, etc.)

Experience

  • A minimum of 5-8 years in Large Format Printing is desired
  • Capacity to work well with teams including sales, account management, project management and engineering
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Creative, independent problem solver, start-up mindset with proven success in fast-paced environments with ability to multi-task
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of print production and pre-press, as well as strong production and graphic skills
  • Manage the data collection process as it relates to job costing in the department
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop + Illustrator) with ability to edit art files and provide support
  • Proficient in both Mac and PC OS, as well as Microsoft Office (Word + Excel)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

A custom fabricator designs, cuts, forms and assembles.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assembling finished products using tools, machines, and their own hands. Fabricates various types of products.
