Because each character is built on its own, channel letters can follow a brand’s typeface and logo geometry far more closely than copy applied to a flat panel.

Channel lock trimcap letters. The traditional construction, with a trimcap edge securing the face to the return.
Trimless letters. A cleaner face-to-return transition for projects where the trimcap edge is not wanted.

Fabricated reverse channel letters. Built for halo illumination, with the light washing the wall behind the letter.

How does a channel letter order go from artwork to finished letters?
Every project starts with the artwork and the requirements supplied by the sign company. The WWSS sales and manufacturing teams review the size, construction, illumination, color, and mounting details before production begins.
Artwork and specifications are reviewed. The approved design establishes the letter shapes, sizes, return depth, colors, and finished layout dimensions.
Letter cans are fabricated. Each character is formed and assembled individually to reproduce the approved letterform.
Illumination is installed. LED modules and wiring are laid out inside the letter for even coverage across the face or the halo.
Faces and trim are applied. Trimcap, trimless, or No-Trim construction is completed depending on what the project specifies.
Finishes and colors are applied. Return and face colors are finished to the approved brand standard.

How are channel letters illuminated and mounted?
Illumination is handled with LEDs, and the WWSS illumination packages are Met Lab approved for use in both the United States and Canada. Mounting is the other decision that shapes the install. Most projects use one of two approaches:

What is a pan formed sign face?
A pan formed sign face—also called a formed face, molded face, or vacuum formed plastic face—is made by heating plastic and shaping it over a custom mold. The result is a rigid, three-dimensional face that can include raised or recessed copy, logos, borders, and other design elements.
Compared with a flat face, the added depth helps lettering and graphics catch light during the day. In an internally illuminated cabinet, the dimensional surface can also create a strong nighttime presentation. Formed faces are commonly produced in UV-stabilized polycarbonate or acrylic, depending on the specifications of the project.
How does a formed face go from artwork to a finished sign?
Every project begins with the artwork and the requirements supplied by the sign company. The WWSS sales and manufacturing teams review the size, shape, depth, material, decoration, illumination, and installation needs before production begins.

Are formed faces only available in standard rectangles?
No. Custom shapes, odd sizes, embossed designs, and debossed details are available based on the approved artwork and manufacturing requirements.
DELIVERY DRIVER – We deliver to WI, IL, IN, IA, MN, MI, and OH. Most nights you would be home, but there are some overnight trips. We do give a per diem if you have to do an overnight stay and we pay for the hotel. We don’t have semi-trucks; we have pickup trucks and trailers. The wage is between $20 – $25 per hour based on experience (overtime pay after 40 hours in a week) and can be discussed during an interview, if chosen for an interview. Trucks are kept at our Bonduel location, so this would be where you leave from and return to each day. Normally we don’t do shipments on Fridays, but there have been a few exceptions.
